Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to tolnaftate; nail and scalp infections


Warnings/Precautions

Cream is not recommended for nail or scalp infections; keep from eyes; if no improvement within 4 weeks, treatment should be discontinued. Usually not effective alone for the treatment of infections involving hair follicles or nails.

Pharmacodynamics/Kinetics

Onset of action: 24-72 hours


Usual Dosage

Children and Adults: Topical: Wash and dry affected area; apply 1-3 drops of solution or a small amount of cream or powder and rub into the affected areas 2-3 times/day for 2-4 weeks
