Patient Information

Take on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals) with a full glass of water. Maintain adequate hydration (2-3 L/day). You may experience night voiding (normal); nausea or vomiting (frequent small meals, frequent mouth care, or sucking on lozenges may help); or diarrhea (buttermilk or yogurt may help). Report promptly any unusual bruising or bleeding fatigue, abdominal pain, or acute headache, yellowing of skin or eyes, swelling of extremities, increased weight (>5 lb/week), respiratory difficulty, pain on urination, or cloudy or bloody urine. Inform prescriber if you are pregnant. Do not breast-feed.
