Use

Treatment of steroid responsive inflammatory conditions and superficial ocular infections due to strains of microorganisms susceptible to gentamicin such as Staphylococcus, E. coli, H. influenzae, Klebsiella, Neisseria, Pseudomonas, Proteus, and Serratia species

Adverse Reactions

1% to 10%:

Local: Burning, stinging

Ocular: Increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, superficial punctate keratitis, infrequent optic nerve damage, posterior subcapsular cataract formation

Miscellaneous: Development of secondary infection, allergic sensitization


Usual Dosage

Children and Adults: Ophthalmic: 1 drop 2-4 times/day; during the initial 24-48 hours, the dosing frequency may be increased if necessary
