Mechanism of
Action |
|
Nystatin is an antifungal agent that binds to sterols in fungal cell
membrane, changing the cell wall permeability allowing for leakage of cellular
contents. Triamcinolone is a synthetic corticosteroid; it decreases inflammation
by suppression of migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and reversal of
increased capillary permeability. It suppresses the immune system reducing
activity and volume of the lymphatic system. It suppresses adrenal function at
high doses. |
