Use with caution in patients allergic to formaldehyde; for external use only

>10%: Topical: Follicular staining, yellowing of the skin, burning/stinging feeling

Patient Information

For external use only. Apply with gloves to thoroughly clean/dry skin until skin is wet; avoid area around eyes or mouth. Do not cover with occlusive dressing. Results make take some time to appear. May stain clothing or fabrics. You may experience transient stinging or burning after application. If skin turns yellow, washing with soap and water will remove color. Report worsening of condition; eye irritation; or skin redness, dryness, peeling, or burning that persists between applications. Breast-feeding precautions: Consult prescriber if breast-feeding.


Nursing Implications

Apply generously until skin is wet; avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth; stinging may occur with application, but soon stops; if skin is discolored yellow, washing will remove the color
