Usual Dosage

Children 6-12 years: Initial: 10 mL, then, 5-10 mL every 3 hours thereafter

Alternate children's dosing recommendations based on body weight:

10 lb: 2.5 mL

20 lb: 5 mL

greater than or equal to 30 lb: 5-10 mL

Do not administer more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period

Children >12 years and Adults: Initial: 30 mL (1 fluid oz) followed by 15 mL every 3 hours
