Adverse Reactions

1% to 10%:

Central nervous system: Depression, migraine, dizziness, anxiety, headache, stroke

Dermatologic: Chloasma, melasma, rash

Endocrine & metabolic: Decreased glucose tolerance, alterations in frequency and flow of menses, breast tenderness or enlargement, hypertriglyceridemia, elevated LDL

Gastrointestinal: Nausea, GI distress

Hepatic: Cholestatic jaundice

Miscellaneous: Increased susceptibility to Candida infection


Usual Dosage

Oral: 1-2 tablets at bedtime given cyclically, 3 weeks on and 1 week off
